God has called His Church to love her neighbor. Below are some ministries to help us care and love others as Christ loves us both within our Church and our local community.
Please consider serving in one of these caring and mercy ministries so that others will experience the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.

BENEVOLENCE
Diaconate committee that provides discretionary financial and other assistance to families or individuals in need.
CHRISTIAN JAIL MINISTRY
CHRISTIAN SERVICES OF HOWARD COUNTY, INC.
An all-volunteer non-profit organization working to minister to people in need in Howard County. Providing financial assistance, food pantry, thrift shop and transportation.
CRISIS PREGNANCY MINISTRY
Supports the service of local crisis pregnancy centers, keeps the congregation informed of their needs, assists with and promotes fund raising, sponsors baby showers, collects material donations, and encourages people to take an active role in this ministry.

DESIGNATED HUGGERS
Reaches out to bereaved families and is available to organize any type of reception for their families either at their homes or at Chapelgate Church after the funeral service.
GOOD SAMARITANS
Good Sams has provided 6,000 meals over the years for those in our church family who find themselves in a needful situation.
GRIEFSHARE - BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT
GriefShare is a FREE 13-week bereavement support program that meets on Sundays at 10:30 am at Chapelgate. Anyone grieving
the loss of a loved one is invited to attend, and former attendees are welcome. Please RSVP to 410.442.5800. If you have questions,

JOB SEARCH MINISTRY
Supports, counsels, and assists people in the job loss process. Provides information and helps with job search techniques.

PASTORAL CARE LINE
Provides updates on hospitalizations and funeral arrangements. This line is regularly updated and can be accessed 24 hour a day by calling (410) 442 - 7677 and selecting menu option 4.
PRESBYTERIAN HOME
Chapelgate leads a worship service at the Home in Towson once a year then provides a meal for the residents. The residents, who include some Chapelgate members, welcome visitors.
SENIOR FELLOWSHIP
Provides fun and fellowship for our elderly retired or widowed members, many who live alone or in nursing homes.
SHEPHERDING
Encourages, equips, and supports Elders in their oversight responsibilities.
SMALL GROUP MINISTRY

SOAR (Ages 55+)
Ministry to seniors over 55 that includes social activities, Sunday School, prayer and service to others within Chapelgate and our local community.
TRANSPORTATION
This ministry coordinates transportation needs of shut-ins and disabled members.
VISITATION
Members of this ministry visit those who are shut in, in nursery homes or retirement centers, lonely, sick, dying, or bereaved.
