Children’s Ministry
“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” - Matthew 19:14
SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CHILDREN’S CHURCH
Our dynamic Sunday school program is available during the 9:00 a.m. service for children ages two years through fifth grade. Two Bible-based curriculum programs are used to encourage our children to grow in their faith by using Bible lessons, singing, prayer and giving. During the 10:30 a.m. service, children ages two years through third grade are using a Bible-based curriculum that is more interactive in nature so that children can apply Biblical truths to their everyday lives. In grades first through third, the children are learning Bible verses, hymns, catechism and what it means to worship God.
During the 10:30 Children’s Church hour, children in first through third grades are invited to attend the first half of the worship service. Following the offering, the first to third grade students are encouraged to continue worshipping with their families or they may leave to attend a class appropriate to their age level. Students in grades four and five are encouraged to use their children’s worship bulletin as they remain in the worship service with their families.
Each class is staffed with caring, trained, volunteer members of our church who make a commitment to serve two or more quarters a year in Children’s ministry. Parents are encouraged to participate in the educational process by assisting in their child’s classroom.

SUMMER PROGRAMS
Our children’s ministry will be offering a Summer Bible Camp, July 7-11, 2008 for those who have completed Kindergarten through completion of fifth grade. This program is designed for our church family as well as the community at large. The program is gospel oriented. Bible lessons, crafts, games, music and recreation are ways that we share the gospel of Christ. Our hope is to instill Bible truths into the lives of children so that they will seek to live those truths and go out and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
