Middle School, High School, College-Age, and Family
“I can do everything through Him who strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:13
Chapelgate Student and Family Ministries exists to love and lead students and families into growing relationships with Jesus Christ -that are anchored in His grace and passionate for His glory.
KAIRO - MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY
Kairo Friday Nights - Friends, food, and fun happens every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Student Ministries Center. Gather together for a great time of music and discussion and then students can choose from a plethora of activities such as playing basketball, floor hockey, foosball, air hockey or Playstation, talking with friends in the youth lounge after buying some great snacks at the cafe, or skateboarding and rollerblading in our specially designated area.
Kairo Konnections happens every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Student Ministries Center. Konnections is Kairo’s small group ministry where students are connected together with other students of their own age and grade for an evening of worship, interaction, and discussion. Each Konnection begins with large group community and worship time and then students break into their small groups throughout the church for prayer, discussion, and accountability followed by hanging out in our lounge.
Another aspect of the middle school ministry is Sonrise - Sunday School for middle school students - at 9 am in the Fellowship Hall. After grabbing some donuts, fruit, juice, and hot cocoa, students join other students at one of our tables for a morning filled with worship, discussion, prayer, and time of learning from the Word of God.

BREAKAWAY - HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY
Breakaway is a relationship-based ministry designed for high school students. The ministry includes Sunday school, weekly Wednesday night meetings with a small group emphasis, monthly open gym nights, a bi-monthly service project, and various fellowship events. We focus on allowing teens to be relational and interactive while building on the foundation of the gospel and its impact in their lives. Breakaway attempts to reveal the message of our culture while responding with the truths of God’s word.

FAMILY MINISTRY
At that time, Jesus said, ”Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Ministry to the family at Chapelgate happens throughout the many programs already in place – Children’s Ministries, Adult Education, Student Ministries, and Small Groups. Each is effective in its own special way to help nurture and support families.
Family Ministries tries to find ways to help families seek a greater relationship with God, with each other, and with their peers. To this end, the focus of the ministry is to offer training in advanced relationship skills and to offer guidance to families as they struggle with the stresses of rearing a family in today’s culture.
The emphasis is to heed the charge from Scripture to train others to do the work of ministry. We believe that the greatest caregivers in the church can be parents and ministry leaders as they seek to “love well.” Our vision is to help create the kind of community that carries each other’s burdens. Before that can be done, we must learn to see the burdens, both physically and emotionally that come from living in a fallen world. We will continue to offer on-going training in relationship-based caring through Sunday School and special seminars.
We will continue to support specific ministries like Celebrate Recovery, so that families who have been hurt through the rampant idolatry of the age can seek restoration. We will continue to look for new areas of ministry that will care for those in various stages of pain, so that the gospel is applied at deep levels of need.
In His grip,
