Two weeks ago we hit the 1 year mark of when we moved to Maryland to begin our support-raising process — and as anniversaries of any kind tend to do for me, I’ve been more reflective about the last year and what changes have been brought to our family and what lies ahead for us in the remainder of 2008. . .
Jeff & I are travelling out to Seattle next week to share about Vienna with a variety of folks out there. Please pray for us, particularly next weekend (the 12th). Pray that we would be able to share our hearts and our calling to Vienna without fear of people — and please join us in asking God to open up opportunities to share about the vision God has given us for Vienna. We need Him to move mightily to get us to Vienna - we cannot and have not undertaken this enormous task alone!

Hello from Timika!! We are on our way to a national conference for CHE workers in Indonesia.
As a reminder there are 3 main components of the program:
1) Training team
2) Church health committee
3) Community Health Educators (CHE)
The health committee at each church chooses about 10-15 CHE’s(Community Health Educators) for each church. (It doesn’t have to work through the church but since that is already established here in “Daniland” it works well.) The CHE’s teach both health principles alongside Biblical principles in their local village. I initially will be a part of the training team until I’ve trained enough others to be training teams. We are trying to train a new group of about 15-20 people about the program in April. A small training team of 4-5 people then goes to an individual church and in turn trains the church’s health committee and the church’s 10-15 CHE’s.
Yusman still preached on Friday morning at Wuyuneri (our church in Mulia area) for the Good Friday service even though only 5 people came!! I guess people didn’t know it was Good Friday!! Without calendars, there would have to be an announcement. but the district church leadership forgot to announce it. And even with a calander I didn’t realize it was Good Friday and Easter on those dates until a friend told me the week before..Pretty neat that Yusman still preached!!
Love, Yusman and Brenda

1. Please continue to pray for us in concerns with Rebecca’s health. We just had another hospital visit, and she still continues to struggle with nausea a lot. Pray for her during these last months of pregnancy that she would get some breaks from the constant “ick” feeling and that we would not have to return to the hospital until it is time for the baby to arrive. She is off all medication now and it is not going well. Please pray for endurance on all of our parts to make it this last little bit. Please pray also for a healthy (hopefully early) arrival of this new little one. Her due date is May 14th.
2. Please pray for Kevin as he comes down the home stretch of language study, that he would finish well and not be distracted.
3. Thank God with us that He does supply all our needs!

Terry is off again to Ethiopia…for the 11th time…and the 10th time in 10 years!!! The passion, the call and the Ethiopian fever just gets stronger…because the more Ethiopian people we get to know, the more destitute life circumstances we see; we all experience the more desperate our world becomes without the Lord Jesus Christ… the more broken our hearts become…only He can change hearts and circumstances. All we can do is serve them with His love.
Diana had another bout with asthma in February…barely avoiding a hospital stay again. She is well now, but it would be a risky proposition to be 1/3 of the way around the world where there is inadequate health care for her. She’ll be performing critical support tasks for Terry by remaining in the US Headquater office. We are grieving the changes that He is bringing, making necessary transitions while discerning His will. . .
This trip will be focused on developing more disability curriculum, pilot testing the new disability curriculum and developing a training module to train Community Health Evangelists from LifeWind and other key organizations in the content and use of the new curriculum…over the next year.

. . . In Israel [flight was 3/19], I will be doing media for the National Christian Choir, and then on to Uganda to do some work there. This means I will be in Jerusalem on Easter, which is way cool. I’m very excited about that.
This past month came and went, with a good report from my doctors(they believe that my tumor “might” be a little smaller, keep praying!)
It also came with a great youth conference called Uncharted, where youth from all over the Maryland area went out in to the city of Baltimore to do all kinds of work, for parks, for poor neighborhoods and churches, for homeless people, and much more. My tasks ended up being photography, creating videos, and running the visuals behind the concerts, speakers and general good fun that went on at the conference itself. . .
On Saturday afternoon of the conference, the youth worked very hard, in rain, then sunshine, then a bit of hail followed up by a gorgeous rainbow.

Hey all. We wanted to send you a quick update on last night’s fire in Camden Town. We’ve heard that US news outlets are reporting on the fire, and we wanted you to know that we are all fine. The fire started in a shopping area about two blocks from our house, and burned most of the block along the main street. Shops including Punky Fish and the Goth Market were burned, along with Camden Canal Market - one of six large market areas in Camden.
We had been in that particular market several times, but had not connected with anyone there. Our friends in the other markets are all fine, though a number of their stalls were closed today because the streets around the fire were shut down. Not sure if there’s much else to say at this point, except to say that we know God loves Camden, so please ask him to bring life out of the destruction.
