Building Assistant
Basic Mission:
Positively represent the Church in a professional manner to members and guests. Provide safety and security measures for ministries and individuals that use of the facility and grounds. Help maintain and operate all facility equipment and systems. Make sure all assigned task are completed properly and in its entirely in a timely manner.
Reports To: Director of Facility Operations, Building Assistant Supervisor, and Coordinates with the Facility

This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position (4-6 hours per week) and starts at $16 per hour.
This is not a benefit eligible position.

This job requires someone who is responsible, energetic and willing to provide a variety of services to support
the ministries of Chapelgate Presbyterian Church. Due to the services performed, commensurate physical skills
and abilities are required. Strong people skills are important. This position requires someone who is supportive
of the ministry and philosophy of Chapelgate Presbyterian Church.

• Set and re-set rooms to its proper/complete configuration for the rooms next use
• Setting up and taking down tables, chairs, equipment, and other ministry related supplies in
classrooms and other areas throughout the building and or grounds in a timely manner
• Clean up and maintain building condition. (Spills, trash, carpets, bathrooms and kitchens,
ETC.)
• Minor custodial duties such as stocking paper towel, toilet paper, and hand soap dispensers
• Minor landscaping such as leaf removal, and plant watering
• Assisting other members of the maintenance staff as needed
• Support and aid with other duties as directed by the Director of Facility Operations
