For over 30 years, Chapelgate has worshiped faithfully in our gymnasium while dreaming and praying about a future Sanctuary. We are incredibly grateful that the time has finally come for construction to begin on this long-awaited space — a place that will serve our church family, welcome our community, and point people to the beauty and majesty of the God we worship.
As construction progresses, this page will be your hub for updates, weekly operational changes, parking information, FAQs, and important details related to the project. We’re excited to share this journey with you and can’t wait for the day we worship together in our new Sanctuary!

FAQs
What will parking look like during construction?

Starting May 4th, 2026, our Upper Parking Lot will be completely closed off, as well as a few spots in the lower lot. This will all be very clearly marked by construction fencing and gates. We will have signage directing you towards the main entrance throughout the parking lot. We have added a large amount of accessible parking spaces, which will be clearly indicated by signs as well.
The below picture shows the blocked off construction area, general parking, accessible parking, and the new main entrance.
Where is the temporary main entrance?

Our main entrance during construction is marked by a green star on the image below. You can also enter at the upper entrance (marked by another star).
What exactly are we building?

Chapelgate is building a Sanctuary with a seating capacity for 700-750 people. This long-awaited structure will provide a designated place of worship, as well as a more beautiful presence and witness to our community. The new building will include a beautiful spacious lobby, new office and multipurpose rooms, new bathrooms, and a cry room. We are also so excited to be building a new nursery space to minister to our growing number of young families. At the bottom of this page you can find a fly through video of what the new building will look like!
What Is the construction timeline?

Our construction company, Plano Coudon, believes that it will be a year-and-a-half long project.
