Breakaway is our Wednesday night high school gathering from 7–9 PM at Chapelgate Church.

Join other students from all over  the region as we kick-off our fall together for a night of games,  friends, food,  live worship, and teaching that connects Jesus to real life.

It’s a fun & safe place to bring a friend and explore what it means to know God.

Join us for our first Girls Together meeting of the year!

At this meeting we will explore the Bible and play some games. We will also be crafting a treasure box project to hold our Bible memory verses for the year. 

We will meet in the Nursery area at Chapelgate.

The ages for the groups are as follows:

Voyagers: Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders

Pathfinders: 3rd and 4th graders

Trailblazers: 5th and 6th graders

Bible studies will begin the second week of September and run through the school year.

With a variety of days, times (including evenings), and locations, we hope there's something for everyone! Childcare is available for some on a first come, first serve basis.

Promotion Sunday is Sunday, September 7th this year!

Promotion Sunday is when all of our kids move up to their corresponding age groups and grade groups based on their birthdate (must turn age before Sept 1st) or be entering the grade in the Fall 2025.

Children DO NOT move up to their grade group that they are entering into in the Fall until September 7th - please keep your children in the same grade group/age group they are currently in until September!

Calling all Chapelgate men—grab your fishing rod and your spot on the boat!

Join us Saturday, September 6th, from 1–7 PM for an unforgettable day of striped bass fishing on the Chesapeake Bay with Chesapeake Bay Sport Fishing.

• We’ve reserved a 22-passenger boat, and we need at least 8 guys to make it happen. Room for up to 16 or more—if we get 20+, we’ll bring in a second boat.

• Cost is approx. $120/person (yes, boat fishing isn’t cheap—but it’s worth it!)

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just want to hang with the guys and enjoy God’s creation, this is a great chance to connect and make memories.

Kairo is Chapelgate's Middle School Ministry, and we meet from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. every Friday at Chapelgate, unless otherwise stated.

We’d love for your student to join us in kicking off the Fall! It will be a night of games, laughs, friends, and a message from God’s word. It is a fantastic place for your student to make friends, grow in their faith, or meet Jesus for the first time. We hope they can make it and would love to see them come and even bring a friend!

Welcome to Chapelgate English as a Second Language (ESL)! We are here to serve you as you learn more English and more about living in the United States.

We have classes for everyone:

• If you know no English, we have a class for you.

• If you speak some English, but want to learn more, we have a class for you.

• If you speak English well but want to understand more about American culture and improve your pronunciation, we have a class for you.

Classes are on Thursday nights at 7:00 PM.
All classes are free. Students are asked to pay for books only.

Class registration will be on September 4th, and the first class is September 11th.

Free childcare for children ages birth through 5th grade.

Our Girls Together Group (K-6th grade girls) will be meeting at the Lutz Residence in Sykesville, MD for a Garden Tour and Pool Party. Bring your family, a picnic, bathing suits, towels and join us for an opportunity to view the "Lutz gang" in person (see a sneak peek pic below). Diane Lutz is a member of Chapelgate and an accomplished flower farmer who provides locally grown, fresh garden flowers to neighbors, customers at farmers markets, produce stands, florists, and brides in the adjoining counties and D.C. She looks forward to sharing the beauty of her garden and the coolness of her pool with Girls Together!

Kids Color Run 2025 

Saturday, June 14 at 9:45am (rain date: Saturday, June 21nd)

Join us on Saturday, June 14th at 9:45am behind the church building at the soccer field for our third Kids Color Run for kids ages 3 years old to 5th grade! Please have your child wear a white (or light colored) t-shirt to show off the colored powder! Don't worry - the color washes off easily in the wash.

Registration is completely free, and donations to our School Supply Drive are optional.

 ALL kids who RSVP below will receive sunglasses for eye protection, special Magnified! VBS wristbands, and a poncho to wear in the car on the way home. We will allow walk-ins, but please keep in mind that we have a limited number of the items above, so make sure to sign up!
