Darrin Bossman
My name is Darrin Bossman, I am a volunteer at Chapelgate’s high school ministry and a
graduate of Grove City College. I am excitedly pursuing a calling on my life toward vocational
student ministry and have a unique opportunity that God has opened up for me at Chapelgate
Church and want to share how you can partner with me in it.
Calling
I grew up in a Christian home, was raised in the church and have walked with Jesus for most of my life, but it was not till the end of my freshman year of college that I felt a calling toward ministry. Through my youth pastor at my church I was given the opportunity to see if student ministry was something that I felt called to and for the next three summers I served as an intern at my church working with middle and high school students. It was through these internships that I discovered my passion for students and to walk with and encourage them in their own walk with Jesus.
In addition to currently volunteering at Chapelgate’s high school ministry I have completed my first year at Metro Baltimore Seminary where I am pursuing an MDiv in their student ministry track.
Chapelgate Church has provided me an incredible opportunity to serve on their student ministry team to do a 2 year residency while completing my seminary degree. This residency will give me a hands on opportunity where I can be equipped, trained and discipled by experienced student ministry and pastoral veterans that will prepare me to one day take a full-time vocational student ministry job in the local church. I will be sharpening my gifts and skills in the areas of teaching, planning, administration, counseling, relational ministry, volunteer recruitment and training and much more.
Opportunity:
To do this residency I am prayerfully seeking to raise a team of supporters to embrace this journey with me both through prayer and financial support. I need to raise $30,000 a year to be able to engage in this residency and be sure own my financial needs are covered.
