Director of Women’s Ministry
Basic Mission:
The mission of the Director of Women’s Ministry is to lead by serving and caring for the women of Chapelgate, and by providing a structure for spiritual direction, and the facilitation of future leadership.
The responsibilities include the discipleship of Christian women in their own personal spiritual growth, and in the fellowship of the women at Chapelgate. This will include coordinating activities, designing programs intended to spark growth, and meeting with women one-on-one and in groups, for the sake of their spiritual development.
Salary Information:
This is a part-time, exempt, salaried position and is paid $30,000 per year.
Expected time commitment is about 20 hours per week.
This is not a benefit eligible position, but includes a 10% tuition discount for enrolled children at Chapelgate Christian Academy.

General Qualifications:
Displays love for Jesus and His Church and maturity in faith and relationships
Displays proven leadership and excellent communication and relationship building skills
Specific Responsibilities:
Work alongside Pastors, the Session, and other Ministers & Directors, as appropriate, to set the vision for the Women of Chapelgate
Liaison between the Shepherdess Ministry and the staff
Lead the Sunday Morning Women’s Class Team (teaching and facilitating Bible study, recruiting, training, and mentoring other leaders)
Coordinate and attend regularly scheduled events and points of connection (Breakfasts, Retreats, Dive-Ins, Ladies Nights Out)
Equip and empower women to run with the passions/gifts God has given them by meeting with women one-on-one as they pursue God’s calling, serving as a resource for opportunities and development, bringing in resources from area churches and researching curriculum
Oversee Thrive Coordinators (Bible Study, Shepherdess, Impact Mentoring, Read through the Bible, HUM, PEN), empower them as they lead, and put out fires
Present at the Discovery Class on Thrive
Engage with new members after the Discovery Class through meeting up, and contact via Find Your Place
Attend church regularly, intentionally seeking out connection with the women
Plan yearly retreats.
Individually minister pastorally to women
Participate in membership conversations
Attend all Staff and M&D meetings
Set Thrive Budget (working with Women’s Ministry coordinator)
Meet with visitors/regular attenders/members who desire more information/getting involved with Thrive.
Be a point of contact between the Church and the women, and vice versa
