Kaleidoscope

Why Kaleidoscope?

A kaleidoscope uses mirrors to reflect light in a way that makes beautiful images from random objects. When children receive Christ, they are like mirrors that reflect the light of Christ. Our prayer is that as His light is reflected in the lives of our children, the world will see and God will be glorified.

  • Check In

At our check-in desk, we offer a user-friendly database which provides randomly generated matching numeric stickers for you and your child to help ensure your child's safety while in our building.

    For our 9am hour, kids can check-in between 8:45 – 9:00am.

    For our 10:30am hour, kids can check-in between 10:15 – 10:30am.

If your child is attending both services, please have them check-in for both at our check-in desk before our 9am hour.

  • Services

    9AM Sunday School

We offer a Sunday School hour in the Chapel at 9am for kids of parents that are attending our Adult Sunday School classes. Our Kids Sunday School classes go through the same curriculum that we use for our 10:30am service, called Grow. Kids will hear the same Bible Story and Big Ideas for each service, but in a different way. Additionally, no activities are repeated, so that kids can attend both services and not get bored.

    10:30 Children’s Church

K-5th graders will go into the worship service with their parents/guardians at the start of the service until dismissed, so they can enjoy a couple of worship songs with their parents. They will be dismissed following prayer time to head to their age-based rooms for Children’s Church.

K-3rd graders go to the Majestic Theater (Room 209/210).

Preteens (4th-5th graders) go to the Chapel (room 211).

  • Drop off/Pickup

ALL children attending our children's ministry MUST be checked in and wear a nametag sticker to attend.

Please keep the matching numeric tag with you so that you can pick your child up at the end of service. Kids cannot be released to anyone that does not have a matching tag.

    9AM Sunday School

    Check-in: 8:45am-9:15am

Head up the stairs to the right of the check-in desk, go through the doors to the right of the elevator, and drop your child off in the Chapel (room 211). All K-5th graders are in this room for our Sunday School hour.

    Pick-Up: 10:10-10:20am

All K-5th graders MUST be picked up from the Chapel upstairs following the end of the Adult Sunday School classes which typically end at 10:10am.

    10:30AM Children’s Church

Children check in between 10:15 - 10:30AM and then head to worship with their family. Kids will be dismissed to head to the Theater Room (room 209/210) following the prayer during the worship service.

Our service typically ends around 11:20 AM. After the service, please pick-up your child in their small group classroom which is separated based on their grade. You MUST have the matching sticker to pick up your child.

K-1st graders are picked up in room 205.

2nd-3rd graders are picked up in Room 203.

Preteens (4th-5th graders) are picked up in the Chapel (room 211).

  • Safety

At Kaleidoscope, no child is ever left alone with an adult. There are a minimum of two adults with children at all times. All adults (18+) are securely background checked, and all student leaders (under 18) are vetted by our children’s ministry staff.

Our Kaleidoscope hallways are monitored by a Security Monitor every Sunday. We also lock exits and doors around the hallway to ensure there is only one entrance so that we can monitor those who may enter during the service time. Please note that only background-checked individuals, or those with permission from our Children's Ministry Director can be in our children's ministry hallway during the service. Additionally, the bathrooms in our Kaleidoscope hallway are designated for "children only" to further ensure the safety of our kids.

Our name tags and matching numeric stickers ensure that only the adult who presents the matching numeric sticker can pick up the child.

Partnering With Parents

At Kaleidoscope, our goal is to partner with parents in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with their children. Kaleidoscope uses Grow Kids Curriculum on Sunday mornings. Each week, overviews of the lesson are sent home with our families. These include the Bible story title, scripture verses, and the “Big Idea,” which is the main take-away for that Sunday. Each month, there is a new theme and Bible memory verse. Our hope is that children will see that the Bible is applicable to their lives today.
