Prayer from Richard Loper

I called to you for help and you healed me.

As I lay in hospital beds for 4 weeks I called to God for help, daily praying the words of Psalms 26, 31 and giving thanks based on Ecclesiastes 9:7-10. Yahweh, I exalt you because you have placed my feet on level ground, establishing me in a spacious place so that I may eat my bread with joy, and drink my wine with a merry heart; for you have accepted my works. I lack nothing…you have blessed me that I may live joyfully with my wonderful wife whom I love all the days of this fleeting life, and that in all of my fleeting days I may labor under the sun with all of my might.
