Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness? Hear, Lord, and be gracious to me; Lord, be my helper

Today, Lord, rescue me from the pit of my pride, my self-centeredness, my covetousness. Let those impulses be as dead to me as dust - and create something new and life-giving in me.
